The Mountain Man and the Missus!

An Historic Presentation by River Crossing Inc.

     Join Mike and Sharon in 1864 as they prepare to travel to their neighbor’s for supper. The ride is long, the times are tough, but this couple will make you laugh and learn as they share with you what it would have been like to get ready for such an event. Starting in their long johns and drawers, you will see them dress for their journey to arrive both safely (Mike’s job) and fashionably (Sharon’s department). Mike clings to his old mountain man ways, but Sharon is delightfully insistent. Questions are welcomed and encouraged, as the couple goes into the audience to give a first-hand look at their clothing and accoutrements. Educational and entertaining, the journey will cover history, etiquette, and attire of the era.
